PVC doors and windows are therefore made of synthetic materials, to which steel is added, in the center of the frame and the sheet of the window, in order to gain stability and eliminate distortions. There are several cases of lesions, yellowing and bloating, due to their exposure to increased sunshine. This problem occurs with low quality PVC. The countries importing the raw material are usually countries with little sunshine in contrast to Greece.

There is difficulty in making covers, ie shutters and PVC shutters. This is because in the countries where they are manufactured (Germany, Austria, Bulgaria) it is not customary to place covers. PVC shutters can be made in very small dimensions, with dubious quality and above all safety. The same is true of PVC shutters, which lack insulation inside their boxes, as is the case with heat-shrinkable aluminum boxes.
